Numbered panels, every fixing and a step-by-step guide. Most sizes take two people half a day to a day.

Weatherproof the roof
The EPDM rubber roof upgrade is free in the sale (normally £434).

Lay a gym floor
Rubber gym flooring protects the boards and spreads the load of weights. Not supplied by us.

Add power if you want it
Lights, a fan or a heater should be fitted by a qualified electrician. Not supplied by us.

Is it tall enough to train in?
The 8×12 Apex Shed is 2,285mm high inside under the ridge, which runs down the middle of the building, and 1,757mm at the eaves along the sides. Put your bench and anything you stand up for in the middle. Tall kit like a power rack, or pressing a bar overhead, needs more height, so check your kit against those measurements before ordering.
Can I put heavy weights on the floor?
The floor is 24mm nominal (18mm finished) pressure-treated boards. We don't publish a floor-load rating, so lay rubber gym flooring to protect the boards and spread the load, keep very heavy items off the middle of the span, and ask us about your kit before ordering.
Will my equipment fit through the door?
The double doors open to 42″ (1,067mm) wide. Measure the narrowest side of each piece of kit, or how small it folds, against that.
Will it be warm enough in winter?
Our buildings come without wiring, heating or insulation, so it is a shelter rather than a heated room. If you want lights or a heater, have a qualified electrician fit them.
Do I need planning permission for a garden gym?
Usually not, if it stays within the permitted-development limits for outbuildings. Check with your council if your home is listed or in a conservation area.
