Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information NextdaySheds collects when you use this website or buy from us, why we need it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to sell and deliver your building and to look after you afterwards.
1. Who we are
NextdaySheds is a UK business and is responsible (the “controller”) for the personal information described here. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us on 0203 0120507 (Monday to Friday 8am–5pm and Saturday 9am–1pm) or info@nextdaysheds.co.uk.
NextdaySheds is a trading name of DIYSHEDS LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13650326). Registered office: 42 Great Bridge Street, West Bromwich, England, B70 0BN.
2. What we collect
- Order details: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number, what you bought and how much you paid.
- Payment information: handled by our checkout and payment providers. We see confirmation that you have paid and limited details such as the card type and last four digits, never your full card number.
- Messages: what you tell us when you call, email or use the contact form, such as your postcode, the building you are interested in and your questions.
- Delivery information: notes about access to your property and delivery updates from our couriers.
- Your account: if you create one, your login email and order history, held by our checkout platform.
- Chat questions: what you type into our shed adviser chat, so it can answer you. Please don’t include personal details such as your address or phone number in the chat.
- Shed designs: designs you make in the shed builder are saved in your own browser. If you ask us for a quote or order one, we receive the design along with your contact details.
- Website use: with your consent, information about how you use the site — pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location from your IP address and how you arrived. See our cookie policy.
3. Why we use it
Data protection law requires a lawful reason for each use of your information:
- To take payment, deliver your order, handle returns and provide after-sales support — because we need to perform our contract with you.
- To keep tax and accounting records — because the law requires it.
- To answer your enquiries, prevent fraud, keep our website secure and improve our products and service — because we have a legitimate interest in running our business well, balanced against your rights.
- To measure website use and advertising, and to send marketing emails — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with organisations that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Our e-commerce and checkout platform (Shopify) and payment providers, to take orders and payments.
- Delivery and courier companies, to deliver and collect your building.
- Our website hosting provider (Vercel), to run the site.
- Our email providers: Shopify for order and account emails, and Resend for the emails our website forms send to our team.
- The AI service that powers our shed adviser chat: your chat messages are sent through Vercel’s AI Gateway to the AI model provider (currently Anthropic) to generate the answer. We don’t use your chat to identify you, and the providers process it under their own data-protection terms.
- Analytics and advertising providers (Google and Meta), only if you accept those cookies.
- Professional advisers such as accountants, and authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on protections recognised by UK law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices: six years after the end of the financial year of the sale, as required for tax.
- Guarantee records: for the length of the 15-year guarantee on your building.
- Enquiries that don’t lead to an order: up to two years.
- Chat conversations: we don’t save them. A conversation stays in your browser until you close the page; our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs to keep the service running.
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a note so we don’t contact you again.
6. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to have it transferred to you or another organisation, and to withdraw consent at any time. Some rights depend on the reason we hold the information.
To use any of these rights, contact us on 0203 0120507 (Monday to Friday 8am–5pm and Saturday 9am–1pm) or info@nextdaysheds.co.uk. We will reply within one month and won’t charge a fee in most cases.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the basket and checkout work, and analytics and advertising cookies only if you accept them. Our cookie policy explains them, and you can change your choice at any time with “Cookie preferences” at the foot of every page.
8. Keeping it safe
Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), payment is handled by providers who meet card-industry security standards, and access to customer information is limited to people who need it to do their job.
9. Children
Our website and products are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information about children.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the way we use information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
