Modern Slavery Statement
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Modern slavery — including forced labour, debt bondage, human trafficking and child labour — has no place in our business or in the businesses we buy from. This statement explains how we work to prevent it, in the spirit of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
1. Our business
NextdaySheds is a UK business selling flat-pack timber garden buildings online and by phone, for delivery across Great Britain. Our team works in customer service, order handling and logistics.
2. Our supply chain
Our main suppliers are:
- manufacturers of timber garden buildings and the timber they use;
- suppliers of fixings, roofing materials, glazing and packaging;
- delivery and pallet-courier companies;
- technology and service providers that run our website and checkout.
The timber in our buildings is FSC-certified, which includes requirements on workers’ rights in forestry.
3. Our policies
We expect everyone who works for us or supplies us to treat people fairly and lawfully. In particular we expect suppliers to:
- pay at least the legal minimum wage and keep proper records of pay and hours;
- employ only people who choose to work, who are free to leave, and who have not paid fees to get the job;
- never retain workers’ identity documents;
- never use child labour;
- pass the same standards on to their own suppliers.
4. Due diligence and risk
We consider the highest risks to be in timber sourcing, manufacturing and transport, where agency and seasonal labour are common. We favour suppliers with recognised certification, ask new suppliers about their labour practices, and will review or end a relationship if we find a supplier is not meeting our standards and will not put it right.
5. Training and reporting concerns
Our team knows the signs of modern slavery and how to raise a concern. Anyone — staff, suppliers or customers — can report a concern to us in confidence on info@nextdaysheds.co.uk, and it will be looked into.
If you think someone is in immediate danger, call 999. You can also contact the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700.
6. Review
We review this statement every year and whenever our business or supply chain changes significantly.
