The treadmill runs by the windows, so you train in daylight, with 0.9m clear behind the belt.
The rower goes along the opposite wall, with 0.6m behind the seat.
A stretch mat near the doors for warming up and cooling down.
The mirror is on the back wall and there's a clear walkway down the middle.

Delivery details

Is there enough headroom?

Apex Sheds are 2,285mm high inside under the ridge, down the middle of the building, and 1,757mm at the sides. That's why the layout puts the treadmill in the middle. Pressing a bar overhead needs more height than most garden buildings have, so measure your reach with your arms locked out first.

Is a Pent roof tall enough for a treadmill?

A Pent Shed is 1.76–1.89m inside, and a treadmill's deck lifts you about 0.2m, so on a Pent we swap the treadmill for an exercise bike. For a treadmill, choose Apex.

What flooring should I put down?

The floor is pressure-treated timber boards. Lay rubber gym flooring on top to protect the boards and spread the load of your kit. We don't publish a floor-load rating, so ask us about very heavy kit before you order.

Can I have lights and power?

Our buildings come without wiring, heating or insulation. If you'd like lights, sockets, a fan or a heater, have a qualified electrician fit them.

How quickly can I have it?

Do I need planning permission?

Usually not, if the building stays within the permitted-development limits for outbuildings. Check with your council if your home is listed or in a conservation area.
