The external size is what your base must fit. Internal heights are the real usable measurements; timber sizes are nominal (a 16mm board finishes at about 12mm).

Good to know
SwipeScroll · tap to enlargeQuestions, answered
What doors and windows does this model have?
Double doors in solid timber, without door glazing. This is the version with windows. Door opening: 42″ (1067mm) double doors.
When will it arrive?
Order by 2pm on a working day (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays) and it's delivered the next working day, free to the UK mainland. Delivery is to the kerbside at the front of your property on a pallet, so you'll need to carry the panels through to the garden.
What base does it need?
Firm, level ground that is at least the building's external size (2310 × 3024mm): paving slabs, concrete or a timber base frame all work. Our pressure-treated timber base (£85) is a ready-made ground frame delivered with the building. Our base guide in the knowledge centre walks through each option.
How long does it take to build?
It arrives flat-packed as numbered floor, wall and roof panels with pre-hung doors, every fixing and a printed step-by-step guide. Plan about a day for two people with basic hand tools, a cordless drill and a step ladder.
Do I need planning permission?
Usually not. In England a garden building is normally permitted development if it's single storey, behind the front of the house, has eaves no higher than 2.5m and is no more than 2.5m high overall when it's within 2m of a boundary. Listed homes, conservation areas and National Parks have tighter rules, and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own, so check with your council if you're unsure.
Does the timber need treating?
This shed is pressure-treated with Tanalith E, which carries a 15-year anti-rot guarantee. See our quality guarantee for its care requirements and terms. A coloured treatment such as Timber Eco Shield paint is optional, for the look; re-coat it every two to three years to keep the colour.
What if I change my mind?
You can cancel at any time before dispatch, free of charge, and as a consumer you have 14 days after the day you receive the building to cancel for any reason. Our refunds and returns policy explains the condition it needs to be in and how the collection works.
